We came back from the Summer Olympic Games in RIO 2016 with 11 medals!!

Polish National Olympic’s Representation has achieved first success since 16 years with winning 2 golds, 3 silvers and 6 bronzes Olympic medals!

In the Olympic Games in Rio got involved about 246 Polish participants in 149 competitions and in 16 disciplines.

Poland has gained victories in the following disciplines like: athletics, wrestling, modern pentathlon, rowing and canoeing, and also road cycling and mountain. Those pushed up Poland in the medal standings on 29th place.

Anita Wlodarczyk set a new world record in the women’s hammer through of over 82.29 meters and winning the gold medal. Another golden victory was gained by two Olympians – Magdalena Fularczyk and Natalia Madej in rowing at a distance of 2,000 meters.

Polish’s Piotr Malachowski won the Olympic silver medal with a score of 67.55 m. Polish canoeist Marta Walczykiewicz won a silver medal in the K2 200 m. Polish’s Mrs. Maja Włoszczowska reaching the finish line in a time of 1:30 52 in road cross country and won silver medal.

That’s not all successes of Poland, because at the account of Olympic Games was recorder about 6 bronzes medals. Rafal Majka was third in road cycling and got bronze medal. Polish’s Wojciech Nowicki in the hammer throw achieving on the Polish second medal in athletics.

Polish water’s sports was awarded a bronze medals in: the women’s quadruple sculls – Maria Springwald, Joanna Leszczyńska, Agnieszka Kobus, Monika Ciaciuch, and another discipline was canoeing  on the K2 500m – Beata Mikolajczyk and Karolina Naja. Monika Michalczyk won the bronze medal in wrestling free style.

The Summer Olympics has finished on 22nd August 2016. We have a honor to congratulate all Olympians and thanks for the decent presentation of Poland in the world!
